About the event

Hanoi Ragmen

Hanoi Ragmen is an alternative rock band from Alexandria, VA. With inspiration from an eclectic range of artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Peter Gabriel, M83, and Bruce Springsteen, Hanoi Ragmen has been writing original music since the band’s inception in 2018. Their first EP “Game.” was self-released in 2019, and has enjoyed a steady, growing local and online following. Building on the momentum of “Game.”, the band’s new full-length album “The Oldlight” was recorded in 2021 and is set for released by Baffin Records in Summer of 2022. The first single from the forthcoming album, Animalisms, combines heavy, 80s-inspired guitar riffs with a driving yet open and melodic chorus, punctuated by Hanoi Ragmen’s signature vocal harmonies. The band’s lineup boasts Gabriel Harr on rhythm guitar and vocals, Beck Moniz on bass and vocals, Max Powell on lead guitar and vocals, Nathan Argust on drums, Shaan Shuster on keys, and Kostia Howard on tenor saxophone. You can follow them and track the release of the new album “The Oldlight” at or contact the band @hanoiragmen on Instagram and Facebook.

Marian Hunter

Marian Hunter is an Alexandria, VA based singer & songwriter. Her 2021 self-released single “Happy Fall,” self written and produced by Henry Thomas Weidemer, catapulted her onto the DC-area music scene, and there is no sign of her slowing down. In addition to writing and releasing music with bedroom-pop band Couch Club, Marian is becoming a regular at Virginia and DC live music venues as she prepares to release more original music in 2022. A prolific writer at only 17, Marian Hunter is joined by bandmates Timmy Barnett on bass guitar, Will Hugely on Drums, Owen Hunt on Guitar, and Leo Critchfield on Keys.
